Junior & Middle School Structure of the Day

J1-J4 students will have:

• 7 hours per week of English instruction (Reading/Writing) & Global Perspectives
• 3 hours of Science instruction (in the Science lab)
• 5 hours of Math instruction
• 11 hours of Non-English language instruction (predominately Reading/Writing but teachers use all subject matter to enhance fluency in the language)
• 1 hours Physical Education
• 1 hour of Art
• 2 hours of Music

M5-M8 students will have:

• 4 hours per week of English instruction (Reading/Writing)
• 4 hours of Science instruction (in the Science lab)
• 5 hours of Math instruction
• 10-11 hours of Non-English language instruction (predominately Reading/Writing but teachers use all subject matter to enhance fluency in the language)
• 1 hour of Physical Education1 hour of Music
• 2-3 hours of specialized electives (chosen based on the interest of the student)
• 2 hours of History (World and US)
